About Sarah

Host of the Complex Trauma Podcast

If you’ve been managing life with “I’m fine” while your body holds the stories you never got to tell…

Welcome (and grab your earbuds).

You know that version of you everyone praises?
The dependable one. The achiever.
The one who never needs anything, ever.

But inside, you’re exhausted.
Your body feels like a live wire.
Your brain doesn’t shut off.
And you’re overfunctioning, people-pleasing, dissociating, or quietly shutting down before you even realize it’s happening.

And maybe you’ve wondered:

Is this trauma?”

“Does this even count?”

“Why do I feel like this when nothing ‘that bad’ happened?”

You’re not wrong.
You’re not absolutely not dramatic.
And, you’re definitely not imagining the impact of what you lived through.

I’m Sarah, and I help women like you understand their nervous systems, make sense of the survival patterns that once kept them safe, and finally feel at home in their bodies and relationships.

Created for women reclaiming their lives—

For the overachievers running on fumes.

The people-pleasers who can't say no.

Women who apologize for everything and feel guilty for taking up space.

The ones called "too sensitive" their whole life.

Perfectionists who never feel good enough.

Those who attract the same toxic patterns on repeat.

Women who shut down when someone raises their voice or can't relax even on vacation.

The ones exhausted from holding it all together, scanning every room for danger, or wondering why they can't just be normal.

Meet Sarah

I’m a somatic trauma therapist, Certified EMDR Therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and the founder of Reclaim Therapy in Pennsylvania. I’ve spent more than a decade specializing in:

  • CPTSD and trauma from emotionally immature or neglectful homes

  • Eating disorders and emotional eating

  • Body image and embodiment

  • Hyper-independence, perfectionism, and fawning

  • Nervous system dysregulation

  • Shame, self-abandonment, and chronic feelings of unsafety

I’m also a recovering overfunctioner, mom of two small kids, coffee-loyalist, and big fan of telling the truth with warmth, humor, and zero shame.

I’ve sat with hundreds of women who “look fine on the outside” but feel like chaos on the inside.

I’ve lived parts of this story myself.

And I believe healing happens when we stop trying to “fix” ourselves… and start understanding and supporting the body that’s been trying to protect us all along.
